We the 4oz and 9oz bottles for our newborn. When we first used them, the bottles kept leaking every time we shook them. During feedings, milk would also leak out from the caps. I checked their website and it suggested that we either screw the cap on tighter or don't screw it too tight to see if the milk still leaks...needless to say, my husband regards avent as the most hated brand in baby products...damn things wouldn't stop leaking...my sister got us a born free gift set and at first it seemed tedious to wash so many damn parts, but what a difference. The born free bottles do not leak and they do not give our baby gas...spend a little more and get a better product...oh, we also tried Dr. Brown but the bottles are too long and narrow and too opaque and contain too many small parts to wash...hated those bottles too!
