So much for reducing colic - - these bottles are useless in that respect

We bought a few of these things, one the formula just runs out of them and the baby ends up soaked - - and the other nothing comes out at all.

Still looking for better options as the Playtex VentAire leak and don't work either.

Does anyone out there make a bottle that is not a piece of ****?

When I had Eli - everyone was recommending avent - avent - avent. So, that is what I registered for and was using, until... 2 1/2 months and Eli and I had to spend a week in the hospital. The nurses there told us that avent's nipple is the most difficult nipple to suck from - it was way too hard for Eli to suck from. We found evenflo worked best for us. So, I recommend before investing in a lot of one type of bottle, test out a few and find out what works best for your child.

My son is 7 months old and was a gas filled newborn. I used Playtex VentAire until now. Very good bottles, but when your baby is walking and pulling up on things who has time to spend on bottles. You have a bottom plastic part that has a seal that you put on then the regular top ring, nipple and cap. Lots of parts...and no time. I switched and have had no problem with leaks from the Avent bottles. I tried almost every other bottle to find one that he liked and had less parts. But as far as colic goes no clue on the Avent. A good bottle and no leaks for me.
